Rebecca Ann Hall, 56, of Pikeville, died June 5.

She had worked as a nursing assistant in the Pikeville Medical Center Critical Care Unit, and had provided 15 years of service to the hospital before she resigned in January 2011.

Hall was born June 23, 1955, in Pike County, the daughter of the late Ira and Virgie Adams West. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Thacker.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Carter Hall; two sons: Nathan Shane (Brenda) West of Floyd County and Joseph Shannon (Stephanie) Bryant of Pikeville; two brothers: Grover West of Greasy Creek and Donnie Gene West of Robinson Creek; her sister, Glenda Sue Akers of Ohio and three grandchildren: Nathan Brewer, Collin A. Bryant and Tyler Hall.

She leaves behind many friends and family members who mourn her passing.

Visitation was held June 7 at Thacker Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on June 8 at the funeral home. Internment will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.

Lida J. (Helms) Hunt, 88, widow of Wayne A. Hunt, formerly of Forest Hills, died June 1. She served as Sunday School teacher, youth leader, missions program secretary-treasurer, musician and special singer in the Hunt-Helms Quartet, the Hunt Duet and the Helms Sisters Trio. Karter Drake Bearden, infant son of Justin and Shandra Patrick Bearden, died June 1. He was born May 22.
