CORDIA – Jenkins exploded offensively early against Cordia and the Lady Cavaliers rolled to an 18-0 win over the Lady Lions in the opening game of a doubleheader on April 2.
Randiee Phillips was a perfect 3-for-3 and knocked home six runs while Caitlynn Estevez was the winning pitcher.

LICK CREEK — Jenkins scored single runs in the fourth and fifth inning as the Lady Cavaliers went on to beat East Ridge 2-0 in a battle of softball powers on March 30.
Jenkins pitcher Kayla Stambaugh outdueled East Ridge’s Christian Yates.
Stambaugh had two hits and stoled four bases while Caitlyn Wright had two hits for the Lady Warriors, now 2-3.
The Lady Cavaliers improved to 10-2.

BAXTER — Letcher Central’s Jordan Short tossed a three-hit shutout as the Cougars defeated Harriman (Tenn.) 6-0 in the Black Bear Invitational at Harlan County High School on March 31.
He struck out 12 batters.
Short was a force at the plate with three hits. He drove in two runs. Dakota Yonts had two hits and walked one time while scoring one run.
Mason Salyers added a double and Stephen Fox had one hits and scored two runs while driving in one.
