SALYERSVILLE —Braxton Tackett poured in 23 points and Jacob Prater added 14 to help Allen Central turn back Magoffin County 65-61 on Feb. 9.

Micah Harlow added 13 points as the Rebels improved to 12-13 overall.

 CORDIA — Cordia grabbed the lead early on against South Floyd and the Lions rolled past the Raiders 78-53 on Feb. 8.

Brandon Marson and Corey Thornsberry scored 13 each to lead the Raiders, now 4-19. Michael Martin chipped in eight.

Cordia’s Chris Hudson stripped the nets for a game-high 36 points as the Lions improved to 9-14. Josh Mullens followed with 14 and Derek Combs chipped in 11.

ROBINSON CREEK — Shelby Valley used balanced scoring to knock off district rival East Ridge 51-41 at the Shelby Valley Sports Center on Feb. 7.

Dalton Richardson led the way with 13 points while Cody Belter added 12 and Andrew Newsome added 11.

East Ridge’s Tony Wolter led all scorers with 17 points. Johnny Miller added 11 as the Warriors dropped to 13-11.

The Wildcats improved to 14-8.

CHAPMANVILLE — Tug Valley landed three players in double-figure scoring but it wasn’t enough as Chapmanville topped the Lady Panthers 57-41 on Feb. 9.

Adreana Vance led Tug Valley (9-11) with 13 points while Hannah Armstrong scored 12 and Elizabeth Evans tossed in 11.

Chapmanville’s Kristen DesRocher led all scorers with 19 points. Kelli Garrett added 11 as the Lady Tigers improved to 14-3.
