RACELAND — Raceland ran out to an early lead and went on to beat Phelps, 59-29, in the opening round of Derby Classic played at the Palace on Dec. 19.

 

Trey Francis led the Hornets (2-5) with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Turnmire chipped in seven.

 

Octavious Hall and Rylie Potter tossed in a game-high 12 points apiece for the Rams, now 4-3.
