Music of Christmas

One of the great things about the Christmas season is the celebration of music.

Many stores will be playing Christmas music over their speakers. Church choirs are practicing for their Cantatas and many will be caroling too.

Long ago, in order to announce the birth of Jesus, several songs were sung by Zechariah, Mary, Simeon and angels. Wouldn't you like to have been present to hear those songs of hope and faith? What a mighty chorus must have rang on those lonely, Judean hills as the angels sang: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men". (Luke 2:14).

This season, be sure to take time to stop and listen to the carols of Christmas. Who knows, you may find yourself singing along. My hope and prayer for you is that the music of Christmas will help brighten your world and give you some good cheer that you pass on to others.
