Drug addiction is a disease and is treated as such on our unit. We understand the struggles that drug abuse and addiction bring to our clients as well as their families and friends. We receive many phone calls daily from individuals requesting information about our unit.

Our unit is an average 4 to 5 day program consisting of medical detox. We offer medication assisted detox and counseling to our clients to help them overcome their addiction. Our treatment team meets to work towards the goals of success for our clients. Our unit provides the first necessary step in recovery, detox, then works toward a follow up plan to help our clients remain drug free. We also introduce our clients to the 12 step recovery program.

Our clients are here to focus on their detox treatment. Therefore, our unit is closed, meaning our clients do not receive visitors or phone calls. Why? To protect our clients from outside influences as well as to respect their privacy. However, with the client's permission, family and friends are permitted to contact our staff to check on their progress.

Since our hospital is a non-smoking facility and many of our clients are users of tobacco (whether smoking or chewing), we provide them with nicotine replacement products during their stay. Many chose to remain tobacco free after detox so we help them be free of the nicotine addiction as well.

If you have any questions or would like more information about our unit, please call anytime (606) 218-4680.
