PMC's Cardiothoracic Vascular Unit (CTVU) was a 2007 5 star award winner, ranking in the top 1% in the nation for patient satisfaction.

The Cardiothoracic Vascular Unit is a 20 bed, state of the art facility, located on the 6th floor of the May Tower and is dedicated exclusively to PMC's cardiac and thoracic patients. Those patients who suffer from chest pain and those recovering from vascular / open heart surgery recover on this unit. To allow CTVU's patients the convenience and comforts of home during their stay, an outdoor terrace is located on this unit. The staff members of CTVU are specially trained in critical and telemetry care, to provide the attention necessary for all patients.
