Hatfield-McCoy Shootout Roundup: Mingo Central, Tug, Phelps score final day wins

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Mingo Central took control early on against Sheldon Clark and went on to score a 70-60 win in the final game of the 16th-annual Hatfield-McCoy Shootout played at historic Williamson Fieldhouse on Jan. 20.

Drew Hatfield poured in 19 points for the Miners, now 7-3. Jeremy Dillon followed with 18 while Josh Reed and Chase Warden added 12 apiece.

Brady Dingess led all scorers for the Cardinals (7-12) with 21 points. Austin Horn finished with 17 and Trey James tallied 11.

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Tug Valley ran out to a big first-half lead against Scott (W.Va.) and cruised to a 92-67 win in the 16th-annual Hatfield-McCoy Shootout played at historic Williamson Fieldhouse on Jan. 20.

Tyler May set the nets on fire, scoring a game-high 40 points as the Panthers improved to 6-4. Mason Layne tossed in 26.

Jagger Bell paced the Skyhawks (4-8) with 19 points.

 Isaiah Roblee tossed in 21 points and Ryan Jessie added 10 as the Pirates dropped to 6-8.

Jacob Chaffins finished with a game-high 22 points for the Warriors, now 6-12. Dalton Wellman followed with 18 while Cameron Hess tossed in 15 and Kane Taylor chipped in 10.

Jonathan Johnson paced the Rebels (3-8) with 16 points.

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Phelps used a strong fourth-quarter performance to take the lead away from Man and go on for a 57-45 win in the 16th-annual Hatfield-McCoy Shootout played at historic Williamson Fieldhouse on Jan. 20.

Kinzer Dotson led a balanced attack for the Hornets, now 5-13, with 15 points. Brandon Turnmire and Trey Francis finished with 12 apiece.

Cutler Workman fired in a game-high 17 points for the Hillbillies, now 3-11.
