Happy New Year!

Eighteenth century Scottish poet, Robert Burns, wrote a poem entitled, ‘Auld Lang Syne’, loosely translated means to reflect on times gone by.

This poem became a famous song sung most frequently on New Year’s Eve to hail in the New Year.

For many people, 2016 has been a sad time and for others a time of prosperity.

Standing on the eve of another year we should diligently thank God for sustaining us and rejoice in the fruits of his blessings.

We must never forget what he has done for us through divine Providence.

So when you gather round the clock counting down the New Year, think of He who has allowed us to be here celebrating the moment.

Make a resolution to serve Him better than ever before and be Christ’s witness before your fellow man!
